There are few things more enjoyable for me

than watching one of our girls play sports.

I love, love, love it for what it means.

It means they are active, healthy, and engaged in life.

It means they are building strength, confidence and relationships

on the playing field that they will carry with them long after the final whistle.

Of course, I do realize that this little pastime of mine means that I've become

the proverbial soccer mom and, you know what??

The view from here is pretty darn sweet.

On my way to this session, Paul Simon's song "Kodachrome" came on the radio.

As I sang along, the oft repeated chorus line refrain lodged itself in my brain:

"...I got a Niiikon camera ... I like to take phoootographs ...

Oh, Mama, please don't take my Kodachrome awaaay ..."

I thought to myself, "Yeah. Me too, Paul. Me too."
