I've known her since
she was the tender age of three.
This week she is thirteen.
Ode to Bella | On Being Thirteen
Small
little egg she was
nestled tightly
in the warmth of her mother's wings,
quietly
gently
slowly
gently
slowly
yearning to break free.
A crack and a pop
she emerges
wide-eyed
intent on the horizon
grace and possibility
first fluttering then
soaring in her heart

These are beautiful Holly! It's hard to believe Chiara is turning into a young lady already!! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBecause she thinks, speaks and acts with pure kindness her true beauty shines in her face, and in the young strength of her body. Holly, your camera lens is firmly connected to your own heart. THANK YOU for the gift of your "looking" at Chiara-Bella
